Job Title: Phlebotomist Trainer

Location: Gurgaon

Job Summary:

The Phlebotomist Trainer will be responsible for training and guiding new and existing phlebotomists on the proper techniques and standards of blood collection, customer handling, sample transportation, and safety protocols. The goal is to ensure that our phlebotomists provide high-quality, safe, and efficient services while adhering to the company's policies and compliance standards.


Key Responsibilities:

Training & Development:

1.Conduct hands-on training sessions for newly hired and existing phlebotomists on blood collection techniques, sample handling, and laboratory procedures.

2.Develop and implement training materials, manuals, and presentations in coordination with the Training & Development department.

3.Conduct refresher courses on phlebotomy standards, new techniques, and compliance protocols.

Monitoring & Evaluation:

1.Evaluate phlebotomists' performance during training and field practice, providing constructive feedback to improve their skills.

2.Ensure that all trainees are proficient in handling patients, maintaining professional behavior, and adhering to safety guidelines.

Compliance & Quality Control:

1.Ensure that phlebotomists follow all company protocolsyand healthcare regulations, including hygiene and patient safety standards.

2.Conduct audits and spot checks to ensure phlebotomists are performing to required standards.

Documentation & Reporting:

1.Maintain accurate records of training, certifications, and skill assessments for all phlebotomists.

2.Provide periodic reports on training outcomes, trainee performance, and areas of improvement to the management team.

Support & Guidance:

1.Act as a mentor and guide to phlebotomists, helping them navigate challenges in the field.

2.Provide on-call support to phlebotomy staff when needed, assisting them in complex or difficult cases.


Qualifications & Skills:

Educational Qualification:

Degree/Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology (DMLT/BMLT) or equivalent healthcare qualification.


Experience:

Minimum of 5 years of experience in phlebotomy, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or trainer role.


Skills:

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Strong understanding of phlebotomy techniques, medical terminology, and safety protocols.

Ability to conduct hands-on and classroom training sessions.

Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.

Proficiency in documentation and reporting.


Certifications:

Certification in phlebotomy or healthcare training would be a plus.


Additional Requirements:

Willingness to travel across multiple locations for phlebotomist training and audit purposes.

Ability to manage a team and adapt to different learning styles.

Should possess leadership qualities and be a team player.
